Depra vs QuickReply
Depra vs QuickReply. The honest comparison.
QuickReply is a WhatsApp AI chat platform for ecommerce. Depra is an AI agent that closes conversations across WhatsApp, voice, and email - built for Indian D2C with the COD-to-prepaid, NDR-recovery, and refund-deflection plays wired in day one.
The wedge
Why brands switch from QuickReply.
QuickReply pioneered AI-led chat on WhatsApp for ecommerce - they're a real competitor in the AI-conversation space, not a flow-builder rebranded. The product is solid for inbound WhatsApp queries.
Depra differs on three axes: (1) we're channel-agnostic - voice and email are first-class agents, not bolt-ons; (2) we ship India-specific revenue plays day-one (COD-to-prepaid, NDR recovery, Razorpay UPI links inside WhatsApp, Shiprocket NDR webhooks); (3) our agent is grounded on live order data, not just conversation context, so it can act - generate a payment link, schedule a re-attempt, exchange an item - not just respond.
If you only need WhatsApp, QuickReply is a real choice. If voice + email are part of your funnel and Indian COD/NDR economics matter, Depra's broader surface area is the wedge.

Migration guide
Switching from QuickReply to Depra.
Most teams are live on Depra in under a week. Your WhatsApp Business Account, phone numbers, and customer data move with you - Depra never locks any of it.
Step 01
Transfer the WABA
Your WhatsApp Business Account and phone number stay yours. We coordinate the BSP migration from QuickReply to Depra (Meta Cloud API) - typically 24-48 hours.
Step 02
Templates port over
Approved templates retain their Meta-approved status when ported. We import them into Depra's template library.
Step 03
Migrate AI configuration and KB
QuickReply's AI configuration (tone, persona, escalation rules) maps to Depra's playbook config. We help you re-import your knowledge base, FAQs, and product policies - most can be auto-translated, complex ones we do together.
Step 04
Connect voice + email if you didn't have them
Voice and email are often the biggest reason for the switch. We provision voice numbers (Twilio India), connect Gmail/IMAP for email, and turn on the relevant playbooks (COD confirmation, NDR recovery, email cart recovery).
Step 05
Run in parallel, then cut over
Most brands run both platforms for 1 week on a sample audience to validate. Average end-to-end migration: 5-10 business days.
FAQ
Common questions.
- QuickReply is also AI-led on WhatsApp. Why move?
- QuickReply is a real AI competitor on WhatsApp - we won't pretend they're a flow-builder. The case for switching is the channel surface area. Voice (for COD confirmation and NDR recovery) and email (for cart recovery and inbound triage) are first-class on Depra; QuickReply is WhatsApp-primary. If your funnel only uses WhatsApp, you don't need to switch.
- What about COD-to-prepaid conversion specifically?
- This is where the channel argument gets concrete. WhatsApp-only prompts convert 8-15% of COD orders to prepaid. Voice + WhatsApp paired (Depra's default) typically converts 25-35%. Voice gets through where messages are ignored, especially for first-time customers.
- Will my approved Meta templates carry over?
- Yes. Templates are tied to your WABA, not the BSP. We migrate the WABA and templates retain their Meta-approved status.
- Is Depra cheaper than QuickReply?
- Both are demo-priced for non-Launch plans, so comparing is volume-dependent. Depra publishes the Launch tier (₹4,999/mo) on the site; QuickReply is demo-gated across the board. For an apples-to-apples quote, give us your WhatsApp + voice + email volume and we'll send a written quote within 1 business day.
- How do I know Depra's AI is actually better on Indian languages?
- Best way is to test with your own conversations. We can run a 7-day pilot on a sample of your real customers - both platforms in parallel - and you compare the outcomes. We've never had a brand finish a pilot and stay on the previous platform when COD/NDR voice was part of the test.
- What about the voice provider - TATA, Twilio, Knowlarity?
- Depra uses Twilio for international and Indian voice routing, with carrier integrations for India-specific telephony. We provision numbers in your name; you own the number assets and can port them out at any time.
- Does Depra work for non-Shopify storefronts?
- Yes. We have native WooCommerce and a public REST API for custom storefronts. Both QuickReply and Depra are Shopify-first by default; Depra's WooCommerce integration is more first-class today.
