Both tools ask AI engines the buying questions your customers type and record whether the answer names your brand. Each tracked question is called a prompt. A Google AI Overview is the AI summary Google shows above normal results. Hinglish is Hindi and English typed in English letters, the way many Indians ask ("sabse accha protein powder kaunsa hai"). What is Scrunch AI?
Scrunch AI is an AI visibility platform. It tracks how brands appear in AI answers, audits how AI reads your pages, and shows AI bot traffic to your site. Core tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot. Enterprise tracks 9 engines, adding Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok (Scrunch pricing, checked 15 Sep 2026).
Sitecore, which makes website and content management software, announced it had acquired Scrunch on 3 June 2026. Sitecore did not state a price; Bloomberg reported the deal at about $225 million.
Scrunch's Enterprise plan includes AXP, its Agent Experience Platform: a tool that serves AI agents a machine-readable copy of your site while people still see your normal pages. Scrunch still sells Core on its own website with a 7-day free trial.
How much does Scrunch AI cost?
Scrunch AI costs $250 a month for Core, and Enterprise is priced on request (Scrunch pricing, checked 15 Sep 2026). Core includes 125 prompts, 5 competitors, 5 site audits a month and 5 user licences, in 1 country and 1 language. At ₹95.56 to the dollar, Core is about ₹23,890 a month.

A simple way to compare plans is price per engine. Scrunch Core is $250 for four engines, $62.50 per engine or about ₹5,970. Depra Starter is ₹1,999 for four, about ₹500 per engine. Scrunch Core includes more prompts than Depra Starter or Growth: 125 against 16 or 70. Depra Scale gives 120 prompt slots for ₹12,499.

What is the main difference between Depra and Scrunch AI?
The main difference is where each tool looks. Scrunch measures AI answers and also works on your website: page audits, AI bot traffic and, on Enterprise, a copy of your site built for AI agents. Depra measures AI answers for brands selling in India, with questions asked from inside India in English and Hinglish, billed in rupees.
Hinglish can change the answer. In our study of 480 answers asked from inside India, Gemini cited sources in 90.0% of English answers and 41.3% of Hinglish answers. Scrunch Core includes 1 language, and the pricing page does not name Hinglish.
The engine lists also differ. Both track ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Depra adds Gemini on every plan. Scrunch Core adds Microsoft Copilot, and Gemini needs Scrunch Enterprise.
When is Scrunch AI the better choice?
Scrunch AI is the better choice when you need something Depra does not have. Four cases:
- You need Copilot or more than 4 engines. Scrunch Core tracks Microsoft Copilot, and Enterprise tracks 9 engines including Claude, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok. Depra tracks none of those.
- You want your pages audited for AI. Scrunch Core includes 5 site audits a month. Depra checks whether AI crawlers may read your site and does not audit the content of your pages.
- You run Sitecore. Scrunch now belongs to Sitecore. If Sitecore already runs your website, ask them how the two products work together.
- Your team needs seats and more prompts at the entry price. Core includes 5 user licences and 125 prompts. Depra has no team seats today.

What does Depra not do?
Depra does not track Google AI Mode, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek or Meta AI. Perplexity runs weekly on every plan. Location is set at country level, never city.
Depra has no page content audits, no buyer personas, no copy of your site for AI agents, no team seats, no general REST API and no alerts by email or Slack.
