Short answer
A prompt in Depra AI is one question your buyers ask AI, such as 'best body balm under ₹3,000', that Depra AI asks the tracked engines on schedule. Your plan sets how many prompt slots you have: 16 on Starter, 70 on Growth, 120 on Scale and 300 on Enterprise.
Where do my prompts come from?
Depra AI suggests up to 5 topics with 8 buying questions each, at signup and later from Discovery. A topic is how a buyer names what they are shopping for, in 2 to 4 words, such as 'Sunscreen For Oily Skin'. Topics cover your product category, the job the buyer wants done, other ways to get it done, and what sets your products apart. A single feature becomes a topic only when buyers shop for it on its own.
Questions are written the way a buyer would type them, and none of them name your brand. Each topic starts with up to 2 short, plain questions, such as 'best sunscreen for oily skin'. The rest add at most one detail each: a market, a budget, an audience or a feature. Audience words such as 'for startups' appear only when your profile names that audience. Depra AI leaves out questions about how a kind of product works or how two kinds differ, because their answers name no brand. Each prompt gets an intent label, such as commercial or informational.
You tick the questions to keep. The review shows how many are selected and how many of your plan's prompt slots they use.
- One market: the question names the place, such as 'in India'.
- Several markets: the wording leaves the place out, and each market is asked from inside that country.
- India as a market: Depra AI also suggests a Hinglish version of each question: the same question in Hindi and English words, typed in English letters. Each Hinglish version uses its own prompt slot.
What can I change?
- Add: write your own prompts alongside the suggested ones.
- Edit: change the wording. Earlier versions are kept.
- Pause: stop checking a prompt without removing it.
- Tag: group prompts, for example by product line, and act on several at once.
What does prompt volume mean?
Where data is available, the Volume column shows measured monthly AI keyword demand from DataForSEO. Depra AI measures a short English term from the prompt, or a broader category term when needed. It is a proxy for demand around the question, not a count of how often people ask the full sentence.
The bars show the demand level. The tooltip names the measured term, market and month. A prompt tracked in Hinglish uses demand measured on the English term; it does not measure Hinglish question volume separately.
Not measured yet means there is no measurement to show. Not measured in a country means that market is unsupported. No measured demand means the measured term returned zero. None of these tells you that nobody asks your full question.
How do prompt limits work?
Each language version of a question uses one slot in each market. A question tracked in English and Hinglish uses 2 slots. Track it in both languages in India and Australia, and it uses 4. Starter's 16 slots hold 16 English questions in one market, or 8 questions tracked in English and Hinglish.
On Scale and Enterprise the prompts are pooled across all projects, so you can move them between brands or clients. Choose a higher plan for more capacity. See Depra AI pricing.
| Plan | Prompt slots | Questions in English only | Questions in English and Hinglish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 16 | 16 | 8 |
| Growth | 70 | 70 | 35 |
| Scale | 120 | 120 | 60 |
| Enterprise | 300 | 300 | 150 |
Counts are for one market. Each language version of a question uses one slot in each market.
FAQ
What prompts should I track for AI visibility?
Track questions a buyer asks before choosing, without your brand name in them: 'best X for Y', 'X vs Y', 'which X under ₹N'. Pick the Depra AI suggestions closest to what you sell, up to your plan's slots, and pause any that stop matching. A question tracked in English and Hinglish uses 2 slots. The scoring rules are on how AI visibility is calculated.
Can a prompt include my brand name?
Yes, you can add one. Prompts that contain your brand name are left out of your scores by default, as explained in does Depra AI count questions that name my brand.
